The Week in Review (April 14 - 20)

Monday's weather was quite hellish for April in California, reaching temperatures of 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Unable to take the heat, and lacking central air in the dorms, Stanford students fled to the air-c0nditioned libraries, nestled in giant bean bags on Meyer's second floor, or creeping the subterranean stacks in Green.

Today also marks the first day of Admit Weekend. The Meyer Tech Desk Consultants are manning a table in front of the bookstore with a sample of the equipment and services we have to offer. (Dance lessons not included).

Kenneth and his consultants pose with the equipment.

Three consultants. One billion apps downloaded.

Consultants just want to have fun!

Audio still doesn't work! Ah, found the problem. Someone before had set the audio output to "Firewire DV" instead of the default audio output (e.g. the computer's soundcard). Stupid error, but at least it's fixed.

April 20
check out a firewire cable. // phone kept at the desk as the ID....The patron said, 'if my phone rings, please let me know....'..... well, we become phone operator.

Next year we should totally offer dance lessons during Admit Weekend.

Parent: "Should my profro get a Mac or a PC?"
Consultant: "Your profro should take Social Dance."
